Social Impacts of the use of video conference

Video conferencing is a form of communication which enables you to vocally express your findings to your superiors or colleagues from another town, city, county, state or country. You do not get the experience of face to face or eye to eye communication but you can still give presentations or lectures to others easily and effectively.

I felt that creating a blog to spread information with my group members was a good option because this means my team member could easily view my information as often as they needed and it is also one of the simplest ways of sending information to a variety of people.
There are quite of a few possible threats when using a blog such as viruses or bugs the internet is filled with them and they come in a large varieties, when you use blogs to enable someone to view it they need to find the link this can be done either by emailing the link to them or they can search it, It is really simple to install viruses on blogs so when someone clicks on a link they will automatically be open to attack from the virus.
The best way to stay safe from viruses or other mishaps is to only follow links that you know and never open emails sent by unknown users about their blog, also clicking on unfamiliar links is another way you can get viruses. This would ensure your data will not be tampered with or stolen.

Video conferencing is a good way of telecommunication because it is a cheaper way of communicating with business associates, There is also no long-term travelling to a meeting or conference, You can hold more than one meeting at any period of time.

Now here are a couple of bad points about using video conferencing; A conference is never as personal as a face to face interaction between clients, It may be cheaper in the long run but it is not cheap to purchase and equip yourself with the hardware needed to make video conferencing possible and you could easily have connection issues such as lag or even a breakdown in connections between two locations.

You will need a high quality webcam/camcorder, projector, drop down screen, monitor, good standard headphone/microphones, VCR/DVD recorder/players, wireless remote controlls and auxiliary audio/video sources.  All these pieces of equipment are essential for good telecommunication within the workplace, another essential piece of equipment is a web conferencing server this allows easier interaction between clients online.
